Alex311 Reborn

Alexandria, VA service requests — unofficial mirror

Alexandria, Virginia · every 311 request, refreshed through the day

What residents ask the City to fix — and what happens next.

See every Alex311 service request on a map you can search. Send your own to the City from here and keep it in one place. Then say whether it was actually addressed — the one thing the City's own data cannot tell anyone.

What has been reported, street by street

Every request the City publishes, on a map and in a list you can search by address, request type, status and date — or draw an area and see just what is inside it.

  • A clean record page for each case, with the photos residents attached — including the ones the City's own site cannot display.
  • How long things take to close, by type, and how open requests are aging.

Send a request to the City from here

Describe the issue, place it on the map and attach a photo. It goes to the City's own Alex311 system and comes back with a real City case number — the same as if you had used their form.

  • We check the address against the City's list and suggest the spelling it will accept.
  • If something similar is already open nearby, we show you before you send.
  • Your request lands under My requests, so you can find it again.

Say whether it was actually addressed

The City's data says closed. Only the person who reported it knows whether it was fixed. Rate your own request from 1 to 5 — that is the outcome of record for it.

  • Follow requests you did not send and add a community view, kept separate.
  • Private unless you choose to show your score. Names are never shown.
  • An account here is for this site only — it is not your Alex311 account with the City, and does not connect to one.
  • Together, the ratings answer a question on the Analytics tab that no other source can.

Where the data comes from

The City of Alexandria publishes its Alex311 service requests. This site copies them several times a day, keeps the history, and links every case back to the official record. Reports sent from here go into the same City system as everyone else's.

What this site is not

Not the City, and not a way to reach it in an emergency — for anything urgent, call 911; for the City itself, call 311. Signing in here is not signing in to Alex311: an account on this site is its own thing and does not connect to any account you have with the City. For the official site, see alex311.alexandriava.gov.
